Discover the ancient mysteries of China and learn about the Mandarin King who gave birth to an nation. Explore the wonders of the spectacular  Forbidden City, the Terra Cotta army, Lodge of the Calming of the Heart and much more.

Since Forbidden Gardens is mostly outdoors, it is recommended you dress comfortably and wear shoes you can walk around in. There are benches located throughout the park for your comfort. The park is wheelchair accessible and has wheelchairs available. Cameras are welcome. No pets are allowed in the park with the exception of seeing eye dogs.

Hours: Forbidden Gardens is open year round Friday-Sunday with the exception of major holidays. Hours are seasonal, so please call ahead to verify the hours on your planned date of arrival.

Prearranged group tours are allowed on Monday through Thursday. The hours are 10am to 5pm. Please be aware the park may close due to inclement weather and it is advised that you call ahead if in doubt.

Directions: From Houston, take I-10 west. Take exit number 743 at the Grand Parkway, Highway 99. Turn right (north) onto the Grand Parkway until it dead ends. Turn left onto Franz road and immediately turn right into the Forbidden Gardens parking lot.
